Morphology with a null-interface [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 15th conference on Computational linguistics -, 1994
We present an integrated architecture for word-level and sentence-level processing in a unification-based paradigm. The core of the system is a CLP implementation of a unification engine for feature structures supporting relational values. In this framework an HPSG-style grammar is implemented.

Null eikonal helices and Null eikonal slant helices in the 4-dimensional Lorentzian manifold [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
In this paper, we define the notion of eikonal helix and eikonal slant helix for null curves in the 4-dimensional Lorentzian manifold M 1 4 and give a characterization for the null curve to be the null eikonal helix. Moreover, we indicate an important relation between the null eikonal helix and null eikonal slant helix and find the axis of the null ...

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Nonapplicable nulls

open access: yesTheoretical Computer Science, 1986
AbstractA nonapplicable null appears in a relation whenever the value of the corresponding attribute does not exist. In order to evaluate a query on a relation r involving such null values, the information contained in r is represented by a set of null-free instances, then the query on r—expressed in a user-friendly query language (Generalized ...

Null-null components of the generalized Einstein tensor for Lovelock models [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
For spherical symmetry, we provide expressions for the radial null-null components of the generalized Einstein tensor $E_{ab}$ for Lovelock models for diagonal $E_{ab}$ in terms of the metric and of the radial null-null components of the Ricci tensor. We show they can be usefully employed for example in obtaining the Birkhoff-like theorem for Lovelock ...

Thermal proteome profiling and proteome analysis using high‐definition mass spectrometry demonstrate modulation of cholesterol biosynthesis by next‐generation galeterone analog VNPP433‐3β in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

A note on inextensible flows of partially and pseudo null curves in E_1^4 [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
In this paper, we study inextensible flows of partially null and pseudo null curves in E_1^4. We give neccessary and sufficent conditions for inextensible flows of partially null and pseudo null curves in E_1 ...

Detection of long nulls in PSR B1706$-$16, a pulsar with large timing irregularities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Single pulse observations, characterizing in detail, the nulling behaviour of PSR B1706$-$16 are being reported for the first time in this paper. Our regular long duration monitoring of this pulsar reveals long nulls of 2 to 5 hours with an overall nulling fraction of 31$\pm$2\%. The pulsar shows two distinct phases of emission.

Escape from TGF‐β‐induced senescence promotes aggressive hallmarks in epithelial hepatocellular carcinoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting
