Every null additive set of reals is meager additive [PDF]

open access: yesIsrael J. Math. 89 (1995), 357--376, 1994
We show that every null-additive set is meager-additive, where: (1) a set X subseteq 2^omega is null-additive if for every Lebesgue null set A subseteq 2^omega, X+A is null too; (2) we say that X subseteq 2^omega is meager-additive if for every A subseteq 2^omega which is meager also X+A is meager.

Amygdala Neurodegeneration: A Key Driver of Visual Dysfunction in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Visual disability in Parkinson's disease (PD) is not fully explained by retinal neurodegeneration. We aimed to delineate the brain substrate of visual dysfunction in PD and its association with retinal thickness. Methods Forty‐two PD patients and 29 controls underwent 3‐Tesla MRI, retinal spectral‐domain optical coherence tomography,

The Conformal Pseudodistance and Null Geodesic Incompleteness [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
We clarify the relationship between the null geodesic completeness of an Einstein Lorentz manifold and its conformal Kobayashi pseudodistance. We show that an Einstein manifold has at least one incomplete null geodesic if its pseudodistancfe is nontrivial. If its pseudodistance is nondegenerate, all of its null geodesics must be incomplete.

Phase 1, First‐In‐Human, Single‐/Multiple‐Ascending Dose Study of Iluzanebart in Healthy Volunteers

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of iluzanebart, a fully human monoclonal antibody TREM2 (triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2) agonist, after single‐ (SAD) and multiple‐ascending‐dose (MAD) administration.

Incidence of and Risk of Mortality After Hip Fractures in Rheumatoid Arthritis Relative to the General Population

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Osteoporosis, a known complication of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), increases the risk of hip fracture, which is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Fracture risk estimates in patients with RA treated with contemporary treatment strategies are lacking.

Describing the population health burden of depression: health-adjusted life expectancy by depression status in Canada

open access: yesHealth Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention in Canada, 2016
Introduction: Few studies have evaluated the impact of depression in terms of losses to both premature mortality and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) on the overall population.

A $\{-1,0,1\}$- and sparsest basis for the null space of a forest in optimal time [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Given a matrix, the Null Space Problem asks for a basis of its null space having the fewest nonzeros. This problem is known to be NP-complete and even hard to approximate. The null space of a forest is the null space of its adjacency matrix. Sander and Sander (2005) and Akbari et al.
