Task-Space Control of Robot Manipulators With Null-Space Compliance
IEEE Transactions on Robotics, 2014In this paper, the problem of controlling a robot manipulator in task space, while guaranteeing a compliant behavior for the redundant degrees of freedom, is considered. This issue may arise in the case where the robot experiences an interaction on its body, especially in the presence of humans.

Preparatory activity and the expansive null-space
Nature Reviews NeuroscienceThe study of the cortical control of movement experienced a conceptual shift over recent decades, as the basic currency of understanding shifted from single-neuron tuning towards population-level factors and their dynamics. This transition was informed by a maturing understanding of recurrent networks, where mechanism is often characterized in terms of

On Rotations in Ordinary and Null Spaces

A special phenomenon occurs at a hyperbolic null point in a plasma and leads to the formation of a thin sheet of intense current. This may be the essential feature of solar flares and a current sheet of this sort appears at the magnetospheric boundary. A first approach to the theory is made by hydromagnetics and some orders of magnitude can be obtained.
