Simple Wald tests of the fractional integration parameter : an overview of new results [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper presents an overview of some new results regarding an easily implementable Wald test-statistic (EFDF test) of the null hypotheses that a time-series process is I(1) or I(0) against fractional I(d) alternatives, with d?(0,1), allowing for ...

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron

Patterning the Void: Combining L‐Systems with Archimedean Tessellations as a Perspective for Tissue Engineering Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations

Microporous Microgel Assemblies Facilitating the Recruitment and Osteogenic Differentiation of Progenitor Cells for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
There is a significant need for biomaterials with well‐defined stability and bioactivity to support tissue regeneration. In this study, we developed a tunable microgel platform that enables the decoupling of stiffness from porosity, thereby promoting bone regeneration.

Null and Overt Subjects in the Acquisition of Modern Standard Arabic as a First Language by Bilingual Moroccan Children

open access: yesПсихолінгвістика
Goal. In Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), the subject can be null or overt, occurring preverbally (VSO) and postverbally (SVO). The current acquisitional study presents results from picture description task with 24 Moroccan child learners of MSA (aging ...

On null subjects and null objects in generative grammar

open access: yesling, 1995

Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.

Testing a parametric model against a nonparametric alternative with identification through instrumental variables [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper is concerned with inference about a function g that is identified by a conditional moment restriction involving instrumental variables. The paper presents a test of the hypothesis that g belongs to a finite-dimensional parametric family ...

Miniature Nanomesh Mechano‐Acoustic Sensor with Wide Linear Dynamic Range, Broad Bandwidth, and Flat Frequency Response

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A miniaturized mechano‐acoustic sensor is developed using an electrospun PVDF nanomesh as the diaphragm in a capacitive sensor structure. Unlike conventional nanomesh‐based sensors, it achieves high linear sensitivity, a broad and flat frequency response, and a compact form factor.
