Renormalization group fixed points of foliated gravity-matter systems

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We employ the Arnowitt-Deser-Misner formalism to study the renormalization group flow of gravity minimally coupled to an arbitrary number of scalar, vector, and Dirac fields. The decomposition of the gravitational degrees of freedom into a lapse function,

Two-Dimensional Quasi-Periodic Diffraction Properties of the Scalar and Vector Optical Fields

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
As is known, quasi-periodicity attracts great attention in many scientific regions. For instance, the discovery of the quasicrystal was rewarded the Nobel Prize in 2011, leading to a series of its applications.

On the zeta function of number fields

open access: yesInventiones Mathematicae, 1971
A simple principle can be taken as guide in extending basic results of analytic number theory as in Titchmarsh to algebraic number fields: Whenever you see a \(T\) in an estimate, with a logarithm, then replace it by \(d_kT^{N_k}\), where \(d_k\) is the discriminant of the field \(k\), and \(N_k\) is the degree.

Galerkin finite element analysis of Darcy–Brinkman–Forchheimer natural convective flow in conical annular enclosure with discrete heat sources

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
This numerical study is intended for the analysis of thermal convection induced by buoyancy forces generated within a conical annular porous gap. The annulus was vertically positioned, it contains a discrete heat source and is filled with a Single-Walled

Estimating the size of fields in biomedical sciences

open access: yesmSystems
Scientific research output has increased exponentially over the past few decades, but not equally across all fields of study, and we lack clear methods for estimating the size of any given field of research. Understanding how fields grow, change, and are

Photon statistics for Fock and coherent states interfering in a beamsplitter [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ensino de Física
We present a straightforward yet comprehensive theoretical study of different quantum states emerging from a bi-modal beamsplitter when various input states interfere. Specifically, we analyze the output states for different combinations of input fields,

Magneto-bioconvection flow of Casson nanofluid configured by a rotating disk in the presence of gyrotatic microorganisms and Joule heating

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
In this article, we investigate the bioconvection flow of Casson nanofluid by a rotating disk under the impacts of Joule heating, convective conditions, heat source/sink and gyrotactic microorganisms.

Numbers and functions in quantum field theory [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2018
We review recent results in the theory of numbers and single-valued functions on the complex plane which arise in quantum field theory. We use the results to calculate the renormalization functions $β$, $γ$, $γ_m$ of dimensionally regularized $ϕ^4$ theory in the minimal subtraction scheme up to seven loops.

Function fields of class number one

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 2015
In 1975, [LMQ] listed 7 function felds over fnite felds (up to isomorphism) with positive genus and class number (i.e., the size of the divisor class group of degree zero) one and claimed to prove that these were the only ones such. In [S1], Claude Strirpe found 8th one!
