Additive Number Theory via Automata Theory

Theory of Computing Systems, 2019
In the paper under review, the authors study several problems in additive number theory by using automata theory. In particular they use a result due to \textit{V. Bruyère} et al. [Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. - Simon Stevin 1, No. 2, 191--238 (1994; Zbl 0804.11024)] and its implementation in Mousavi's software ``Walnut''.

Group Theory in Number Theory

Theoretical and Natural Science, 2023
The theory of groups exists in many fields of mathematics and has made a great impact on many fields of mathematics. In this article, this paper first introduces the history of group theory and elementary number theory, and then lists the definitions of group, ring, field and the most basic prime and integer and divisor in number theory that need to be

Progress in Number Theory

The Mathematical Gazette, 1996
For this ‘centenary issue’, the editor has invited me to write a survey on progress in number theory over the last 100 years. He did not, of course, ask for a proper technical report, but just a short article suitable for Gazette readers.

Theory of probability and theory of numbers

Commentarii mathematici Universitatis Sancti Pauli = Rikkyo Daigaku sugaku zasshi, 1992
A new theory of probability is proposed where the probability of an event can belong to the field of \(p\)-adic numbers \(Q_ p\) and to general topological completions of the field of rational numbers. There is a fruitful theory of integration of non-Archimedean valued functions. Thus the dispersion can be negative and even imaginary.
