Additive Number Theory via Automata Theory
Theory of Computing Systems, 2019In the paper under review, the authors study several problems in additive number theory by using automata theory. In particular they use a result due to \textit{V. Bruyère} et al. [Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. - Simon Stevin 1, No. 2, 191--238 (1994; Zbl 0804.11024)] and its implementation in Mousavi's software ``Walnut''.

Abstract Number theory is concerned with the properties of the positive integers. It includes topics such as primality and factorization, multiplicative functions, congruences and quadratic residues, and Diophantine equations. Examples in this chapter show that each of these topics has relevance to graph theory.

The series is aimed specifically at publishing peer reviewed reviews and contributions presented at workshops and conferences. Each volume is associated with a particular conference, symposium or workshop. These events cover various topics within pure and applied mathematics and provide up-to-date coverage of new developments, methods and applications.
