Polyhedral meshing in numerical analysis of conjugate heat transfer
Computational methods have been widely applied in conjugate heat transfer analysis. The very first and crucial step in such research is the meshing process which consists in dividing the analysed geometry into numerous small control volumes (cells).

Numerical Large Deviation Analysis of Eigenstate Thermalization Hypothesis
A plausible mechanism of thermalization in isolated quantum systems is based on the strong version of the eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH), which states that all the energy eigenstates in the microcanonical energy shell have thermal properties.

Numerical simulation of bubble generation in a T-junction [PDF]
We present a numerical study of the formation of mini-bubbles in a 2D T-junction by means of the fluid dynamics numerical code JADIM. Numerical simulations were carried out for different flow conditions, giving rise to results on the behavior of bubble ...

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

An efficient numerical method for shakedown analysis [PDF]
The algorithm proposed in [9] for incremental elastoplasticity is extended and applied to shakedown analysis. Using the three field mixed finite element proposed in [22] a series of mathematical programming problems or steps, obtained from the application

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.
