Mathematical Modeling of Bivariate Polymer Property Distributions Using 2D Probability Generating Functions, 1 – Numerical Inversion Methods

open access: yes, 2010
This is the first of two papers presenting a new mathematical method for modeling bivariate distributions of polymer properties. It is based on the transformation of the infinite mass balances describing the evolution of a two-dimensional distribution ...

Dose‐dependent hepatotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide in HepG2 cells and its modulation by CYP450 induction

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

A Real-Time Inverted Velocity Model for Fault Detection in Deep-Buried Hard Rock Tunnels Based on a Microseismic Monitoring System

open access: yesBuildings
Microseismic monitoring is an effective and widely used technology for dynamic fault disaster early warning and prevention in deep-buried hard rock tunnels.

Identification of (20R)‐protopanaxadiol from Panax ginseng as a novel anti‐SARS‐CoV‐2 compound

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We established a noninfectious BAC‐based SARS‐CoV‐2 replicon that enables antiviral screening under BSL‐2 conditions. Using this platform, we screened 373 food‐derived compounds and identified (20R)‐protopanaxadiol from Panax ginseng as a novel inhibitor of SARS‐CoV‐2 RNA replication, highlighting the value of safe replicon systems for antiviral ...

Numerical inversion and sensitivity analysis of deformation modulus for deep rock mass

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
Rock deformation modulus is one of the key parameters for the design and construction of underground rock engineering. Obtaining accurate rock deformation modulus is crucial for a comprehensive analysis of the deformation behavior of the surrounding rock

Numerical Inversion for the Multiple Fractional Orders in the Multiterm TFDE

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2017
The fractional order in a fractional diffusion model is a key parameter which characterizes the anomalous diffusion behaviors. This paper deals with an inverse problem of determining the multiple fractional orders in the multiterm time-fractional ...

Purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 for phase separation studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Numerical inversion of the Laplace transform

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1966
In the numerical evaluation of the inverse Laplace transform, the result is marred by Gibbs oscillations in the same way as the inverse complex Fourier transform. Attention is drawn to means by which the representation can be improved and the numerical work eased.

FDG‐PET Associations With Disease Severity and Outcomes in NMDA‐Receptor IgG Autoimmune Encephalitis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with N‐methyl‐D‐aspartate (NMDA) receptor‐immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoimmune encephalitis (NMDAR‐IgG AE) demonstrate occipital lobe hypometabolism on baseline brain fluorodeoxyglucose‐positron emission tomography (bFDG‐PET).
