Numerical Approach to Inverse Flight Dynamics
Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 1997We develop a general numerical approach to inverse problems of vehicle dynamics, suitable for both e xed- and rotating-wing aircrafts. The formulation is based on an energy-preserving e nite element in time for rigid body dynamics that ensures unconditional stability according to the energy method.

NUMERICAL INVERSE MAGNETOTELLURIC PROBLEMS
GEOPHYSICS, 1976Marquardt’s maximum neighborhood method for computing the values of nonlinear parameters is applied to model magnetotelluric data to compute conductivity contrast, overburden thickness, and the depth extent of a conductor. The problems treated are two‐dimensional and the network solution is used to formulate the relationship between the EM fields and ...

NUMERICAL TRANSFORM INVERSION USING GAUSSIAN QUADRATURE
Probability in the Engineering and Informational Sciences, 2005Numerical inversion of Laplace transforms is a powerful tool in computational probability. It greatly enhances the applicability of stochastic models in many fields. In this article we present a simple Laplace transform inversion algorithm that can compute the desired function values for a much larger class of Laplace transforms than the ones that can ...

Numerical inversion of Mellin transforms
BIT, 1976A method is presented for the numerical inversion of Mellin transforms in which the inverse is obtained as an expansion in terms of Laguerre polynomials. The coefficients of this expansion are obtained as linear combinations of values of the transformed function or, equivalently, in terms of forward differences of this function.
