Research on Optimization of Roadway Support Based on Parameterized Numerical Calculation Inversion Analysis

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan, 2020
A roadway support optimization method based on parametric numerical calculation inversion analysis is proposed. Based on the measured values, the geomechanical parameters with less error between the calculated results and the actual mineralization are ...

Numerical methods for the inverse nonlinear fourier transform [PDF]

open access: yes2015 Tyrrhenian International Workshop on Digital Communications (TIWDC), 2015
We introduce a new numerical method for the computation of the inverse nonlinear Fourier transform and compare its computational complexity and accuracy to those of other methods available in the literature.

Analysis of Volterra Integrodifferential Equations with the Fractal-Fractional Differential Operator

open access: yesComplexity, 2023
In this paper, a class of integrodifferential equations with the Caputo fractal-fractional derivative is considered. We study the exact and numerical solutions of the said problem with a fractal-fractional differential operator.

Critical point calculations by numerical inversion of functions [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Engineering Communications, 2020
In this work, we propose a new approach to the problem of critical point calculation, based on the formulation of Heidemann and Khalil (1980). This leads to a $2 \times 2$ system of nonlinear algebraic equations in temperature and molar volume, which makes possible the prediction of critical points of the mixture through an adaptation of the technique ...

Numerical Inverse Scattering for the Toda Lattice

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 2017
We present a method to compute the inverse scattering transform (IST) for the famed Toda lattice by solving the associated Riemann--Hilbert (RH) problem numerically. Deformations for the RH problem are incorporated so that the IST can be evaluated in $\mathcal O(1)$ operations for arbitrary points in the $(n,t)$-domain, including short- and long-time ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

A simple scheme for the inversion of a Preisach like hysteresis operator in saturation conditions

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
A class of operators based on a Prandtl-Ishilinskii operator with inverse in a closed form is presented. Conversely to those considered in the past, they describe the B − H constitutive equation and not the usual J − H link.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Inversion of shallow seabed structure and geoacoustic parameters with waveguide characteristic impedance based on Bayesian approach

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2023
Underwater acoustic technology is essential for ocean observation, exploration and exploitation, and its development is based on an accurate predication of underwater acoustic wave propagation.
