Towards a novel wave-extraction method for numerical relativity [PDF]
We present the recent results of a research project aimed at constructing a robust wave extraction technique for numerical relativity. Our procedure makes use of Weyl scalars to achieve wave extraction.

Investigation of Higher Order Localized Approximations for a Fractional Pricing Model in Finance
In this work, by considering spatial uniform meshes and stencils having five adjacent discretization nodes, we furnish a numerical scheme to solve the time-fractional Black–Scholes (partial differential equation) PDE to price financial options under the ...

Numerical Investigation by Cut-Cell Approach for Turbulent Flow through an Expanded Wall Channel
The expanded wall channel backward-facing step (BFS) and axisymmetric diffuser plays an important role in the society of fluid dynamics. Using a cut-cell technique is an established new method to treat the inclined wall of an axisymmetric diffuser.

Error analysis for an ALE evolving surface finite element method [PDF]
We consider an arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian evolving surface finite element method for the numerical approximation of advection and diffusion of a conserved scalar quantity on a moving surface.

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

The Numerical Renormalization Group Method for correlated electrons
The Numerical Renormalization Group method (NRG) has been developed by Wilson in the 1970's to investigate the Kondo problem. The NRG allows the non-perturbative calculation of static and dynamic properties for a variety of impurity models.

ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...
