PeWEC: Experimental validation of wave to PTO numerical model
Ocean Engineering, 2018In recent years, several efforts have been performed in order to make Wave Energy Converters (WECs) sufficiently profitable and reliable, for their integration in the renewable energy mix. Looking at the European scenario, the development of technologies

Numerical modeling of the atmosphere is challenging because of the enormous range of space and timescales involved, and because many qualitative features, such as balance and conservation, must be accurately captured. We discuss here a number of topics that have proved important historically in the development of numerical models of the atmosphere ...

Abstract Modelling and tuning of muon beamlines can be carried out using matrix techniques from optics, or via ray tracing methods. Monte Carlo methods for determining the muon stopping profile allow optimal degrader thicknesses to be computed, and pressure- cell and low-energy measurements to be planned.
