Numerical Implementation of Harmonic Polylogarithms to Weight w = 8

open access: yes, 2018
We present the FORTRAN-code HPOLY.f for the numerical calculation of harmonic polylogarithms up to w = 8 at an absolute accuracy of $\sim 4.9 \cdot 10^{-15}$ or better. Using algebraic and argument relations the numerical representation can be limited to

The Numerical Range of an Unbounded Operator [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1976
The numerical range of an unbounded linear operator on a complex Banach space is the whole complex plane.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

On the boundary of weighted numerical ranges

open access: yes, 2015
In this article, we are going to introduce the weighted numerical range which is a further generalization both the c-numerical range and the rank k numerical range.

The numerical range of a weighted shift [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1983
Let T T be a weighted shift on a Hilbert space. We compute the numerical radius of T T when T T is finite, circular, Hilbert-Schmidt, periodic, or a finite perturbation of periodic. For several cases we also determine whether the numerical range is closed, completing the determination of the ...

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Inertial range scaling in numerical turbulence with hyperviscosity

open access: yes, 2004
Numerical turbulence with hyperviscosity is studied and compared with direct simulations using ordinary viscosity and data from wind tunnel experiments. It is shown that the inertial range scaling is similar in all three cases.

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...
