An Improved Numerical Scheme for 2D Nonlinear Time-Dependent Partial Integro-Differential Equations with Multi-Term Fractional Integral Items

open access: yes
This paper is dedicated to investigating a highly accurate numerical solution for a class of 2D nonlinear time-dependent partial integro-differential equations with multi-term fractional integral items. These integrals are weakly singular with respect to

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

New Simplified High-Order Schemes for Solving SDEs with Markovian Switching Driven by Pure Jumps

open access: yesAxioms
New high-order weak schemes are proposed and simplified to solve stochastic differential equations with Markovian switching driven by pure jumps (PJ-SDEwMs).

Three-Dimensional Waves Generated by a Running Pressure Disturbance : Numerical Computation by IAF Scheme

open access: yes, 1993
This paper deals with numerical computational method on three-dimensional surface waves which are generated by a running pressure disturbance. The computational method by modified IAF scheme is investigated.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

A numerical study of radial basis function based methods for option pricing under one dimension jump-diffusion model [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this paper is to show how option prices in the Jump-diffusion model can be computed using meshless methods based on Radial Basis Function (RBF) interpolation.

Mathematical Analysis of Malware Spread in Digital Systems Using Atangana–Baleanu–Caputo Fractional Dynamics

open access: yesAlgorithms
This study explores the spread of malware within a digital framework by introducing a unique fractional-order model that employs the Atangana–Baleanu–Caputo (ABC) derivative.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

A Hybrid Asymptotic Expansion Scheme: an Application to Long-term Currency Options ( Revised in April 2008, January 2009 and April 2010; forthcoming in "International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Finance". ) [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper develops a general approximation scheme, henceforth called a hybrid asymptotic expansion scheme for the valuation of multi-factor European path-independent derivatives.
