Computations of the Shock Waves at Hypersonic Velocities Taken into Account the Chemical Reactions that Appear in the Air at High Temperatures [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2015
The temperature in the nose region of a hypersonic vehicle can be extremely high, for example, reaching approximately 11 000 K at a Mach number of 36 (Apollo reentry).

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Non-constructive interval simulation of dynamic systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In this report, inspired by non-constructive simulation developed in the qual-itative reasoning eld, we present a non-constructive interval simulation algorithm forthe simulation of dynamic systems.

Numerical simulation of multifluid flows with the particle finite element method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this monograph we have focused on understanding the basic physical principles of multi-fluid flows and the difficulties that arise in their numerical simulation.

The completion of the mathematical model by parameter identification for simulating a turbofan engine [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2015
The purpose of this paper is to set up a method to determine the missing engine design parameters (turbine inlet temperature T3T, airflow rate) which significantly influence the jet engines thrust.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Is $$d^*(2380)$$ d ∗ ( 2380 ) a compact hexaquark state?

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
The most fascinating dibaryon in the non-strange quark sector is $$d^*(2380)$$ d ∗ ( 2380 ) , which was reported by WASA-at-COSY Collaboration and confirmed by A2@MAMI Collaboration. The reported mass and decay width are $$M\approx 2.37$$ M ≈ 2.37 GeV, $$

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Modeling and simulation of injection dynamics for quantum dot based single-photon sources

open access: yes, 2016
Single semiconductor quantum dots embedded in p-i-n diodes have been demonstrated to operate as electrically driven single-photon sources. By means of numerical simulations one can explore the limitations in the carrier injection dynamics and further ...
