Abstract Many pathogens infect blackberries (Rubus). These diseases may kill plants or at the least reduce yields. New plantations should begin with certified pathogen-negative stocks. This chapter describes the procedure for establishing a clean foundation plant material and presents guidelines for blackberry nursery stock.
