This abstract illustrates two bovine anaesthesia techniques: the brachial plexus block, which targets nerve roots at the shoulder and intravenous regional anaesthesia (IVRA), which uses a tourniquet and venous injection. Both methods provide effective distal forelimb analgesia for clinical and field surgical procedures in calves.

Luminescence dating of coastal deposits from the Chanthaburi Plain, Thailand
The ongoing global sea‐level rise urges us to better understand the dynamics of coastal processes for predicting future changes. Sedimentary deposits reflect past coastal environments but require precise chronological data to place evidence into a temporal context.

Host tissue cues including temperature, oxygen, and iron availability regulate expression of the Yersinia type III secretion system (T3SS) master regulator LcrF. We found that CpxR inhibits LcrF through an indirect, multi‐factorial mechanism and identified the osmolarity‐sensing OmpR/EnvZ system as an additional regulator of LcrF, highlighting ...

Simulation of the critical steps of the Nuss procedure
Simulation can be a critical component in the surgical training, planning and rehearsal process of difficult or new procedures. This is true for the Nuss procedure, which is a minimally invasive surgery for correcting pectus excavatum (PE) – a congenital chest wall deformity.

Abstract This scoping review describes cardiopulmonary fitness in non‐operated patients with pectus excavatum and maps the reporting of hemoglobin and arterial oxygen content during exercise. Four databases (PubMed, ScienceDirect, CINAHL, and SPORTDiscus) were searched from inception to February 15th, 2025.

Gallic acid (GA) dose‐dependently reduced sleep latency and prolonged sleep duration in thiopental sodium‐induced mice, with synergistic effects when combined with diazepam. Molecular docking revealed GA's higher binding affinity (−9.8 kcal/mol) to GABAA receptor (α1 and β2 subunits) than diazepam (−8.4 kcal/mol), suggesting GABAergic potential ...
