ABSTRACT The power spectrum derived from electroencephalography (EEG) recordings has been shown to include both periodic (e.g., delta, theta, alpha, beta) and aperiodic (e.g., 1/f exponent shape, vertical offset) components. Although internalizing disorders have been characterized by alterations in several periodic EEG measures, aperiodic activity has ...

Relationship Between Lesion Size, Voice Quality, and Quality of Life in Children With Vocal Nodules
This study examines the relationship between lesion size, auditory‐perceptual ratings, patient‐related quality of life measure, and acoustic voice measures in children with vocal nodules. Lesion size on HSV correlated moderately with overall severity of auditory‐perceptual voice rating and with acoustic measures of CPP and CSID, but not with PVRQOL ...

Tradeoffs Between Vertical and Lateral Resilience in a Salt Marsh Restoration Model
Abstract Complex coastal ecosystems require management that addresses interacting stressors affecting ecosystem size and persistence. In natural systems, lateral erosion of salt‐marsh edges and mudflats is thought to enhance vertical resilience to sea‐level rise (SLR) by augmenting sediment delivery to the marsh platform.

Temporal roles of collagen XII in regulating cell and matrix organization during tendon development were investigated by tendon‐targeted knockout throughout development and induced knockdown at birth. Tendon‐targeted knockout disrupted patellar tendon morphology, cell and matrix organization, and mechanical properties.

Does It Pay to Be Green? A Total Quality Perspective
ABSTRACT The question of whether, when, and how efforts for better corporate environmental performance (CEP) improve corporate financial performance (CFP) remains controversial. We revisit this question from a total quality perspective, which unites previous research and highlights interdependencies between mediators of the CEP–CFP relationship.
