Nusselt number scaling in tokamak plasma turbulence [PDF]
Anomalous heat transport caused by ion temperature gradient (ITG) driven turbulence in tokamak plasmas is evaluated from numerical simulations of the two-dimensional (2D) partial-differential equations of the ITG model and of a reduced 1D version derived from a quasilinear approximation.

Enhanced visualisation of complex thermofluid data: Vertical and horizontal combined convection and microscale heat transfer cases [PDF]
Copyright @ 2000 UITIn general, convective heat transfer is an 'n-dimensional' problem where n is well in excess of 3 for steady flows. Traditionally, the method of dimensional analysis results in a small number of dimensionless groups.

A study of flow interference and heat transfer between two-cylinders at different orientations
A numerical investigation is carried out for the different orientations of a circular cylinder where the upstream cylinder moves with varying angles α = 0˚, 30˚, 45˚, 60˚, 90˚ with respect to the downstream cylinder in a fixed position at a gap ratio (L ...

An improved method of Nusselt number calculation [PDF]
A novel method for calculating the Nusselt number, Nu, in a steady-state Rayleigh-Benard convection problem is presented, in which calculations are done for a square box with constant temperature, free-slip boundary conditions at the top and bottom, and a reflection symmetry along the side walls.
