Residual nutation angle of satellites with viscous nutation dampers

Acta Astronautica, 1987
Abstract The residual nutation angle of satellites with the viscous fluid dampers is one of the important indexes for designing the spinning satellites of high nutation precision. This paper will specifically discuss the reasons why the viscous dampers make the residual angle occur.

Suppression of Nutation Angle Variation in Pulsed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1970
In pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance a random variation of the nutation angle is produced if the rf pulse initiation occurs at a random phase with respect to the rf carrier. The effect is most important at low resonance frequencies and large rf pulse amplitudes.

Estimate of the Error Owing to Neglect of the Earth’s Triaxiality in the Transfer Function for Nutation Angle Calculations

Measurement Techniques, 2015
The error owing to the use of a transfer function for a biaxial earth in calculating the nutation angles on a nanosecond accuracy level is estimated. The corresponding errors in the absolute magnitudes of the nutation angles for different amounts of dynamic compression of the earth’s core are obtained.

Nutation Magic-Angle-Spinning Spectra of Half-Integer Quadrupole Spin Systems

Journal of Magnetic Resonance Series A, 1995
Abstract The nutation spectra of spin- 3 2 and spin- 5 2 nuclei under magic-angle spinning (MAS) were investigated in detail. When the nutation time is larger than a spinning period, the lineshape of a nutation spectrum is evidently changed by MAS.

Two-dimensional nutation exchange NQR spectroscopy: direct determination of rotational angles

Molecular Physics, 2002
A new method for the direct determination of rotational angles based on 2-dimensional nutation exchange NQR spectroscopy is proposed. The method involves the detection of exchange processes through NQR nutation spectra recorded after the mixing interval.
