Understanding Decoherence of the Boron Vacancy Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
State‐of‐the‐art computations unravel the intricate decoherence dynamics of the boron vacancy center in hexagonal boron nitride across magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T. Five distinct regimes emerge, dominated by nuclear spin interactions, revealing optimal coherence times of 1–20 µs in the 180–350 mT range for isotopically pure samples.

Coherence times of precise depth controlled NV centers in diamond [PDF]

open access: yesNanoscale, 2016
We investigated the depth dependence of coherence times of nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers through precisely depth controlling by a moderately oxidative at 580 C in air. By successive nanoscale etching, NV centers could be brought close to the diamond surface step by step, which enable us to trace the evolution of the number of NV centers remained in ...

Defect‐Mediated Scintillation in Fully Inorganic Perovskites via Water‐Induced 0D/3D Phase Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Conditional phase gate and quantum state transfer via off-resonant quantum Zeno dynamics

open access: yes, 2017
We propose a scheme to realize the conditional phase gate (CPG) and quantum state transfer (QST) between two qubits (acted by nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centers) based on off-resonant quantum Zeno dynamics.

Fermi Surface Nesting and Anomalous Hall Effect in Magnetically Frustrated Mn2PdIn

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mn2PdIn, a frustrated inverse Heusler alloy, showing electronic‐structure driven anomalous Hall effect with Weyl crossings, Fermi‐surface nesting and near‐zero magnetization ideal for low‐magnetization spintronics. Abstract Noncollinear magnets with near‐zero net magnetization and nontrivial bulk electronic topology hold significant promise for ...

Expanding Chemical Space of Nucleic Acid Nanoparticles for Tunable Antiviral‐Like Immunomodulatory Responses and Potent Adjuvant Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a nucleic acid nanoparticle (NANP) platform designed to be rrecognized by the human innate immune system in a regulated manner. By changing chemical composition while maintaining constant architectural parameters, we identify key determinants of immunorecognition enabling the rational design of NANPs with tunable immune activation profiles
