Theriogenology, 1992A study was conducted to characterize preimplantation embryo development in the racoon dog. Females (n=30) in natural estrus were mated twice, then euthanized at various times and the uterine cornua and oviducts flushed with phosphate-buffered saline.

Testicular feminization in the Finnish racoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides).
Nordisk veterinaermedicin, 1984The clinical features of testicular feminization in the racoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) are reported. The condition is characterized by a normal male karyotype, but a mixed phenotype consisting of vulva, enlarged clitoris and scrotal testes. Partial spermatogenesis with a relative arrest at the first meiotic division was observed.
