Row‐Aware Randomized SVD With Applications
ABSTRACT The randomized singular value decomposition proposed in [28] has certainly become one of the most well‐established randomization‐based algorithms in numerical linear algebra. The key ingredient of the entire procedure is the computation of a subspace which is close to the column space of the target matrix A∈ℝm×n$$ \mathbf{A}\in {\mathbb{R}}^{m\

The theory of the phase-lag analysis for Runge-Kutta-Nyström methods and Runge-Kutta-Nyström interpolants is developed in this paper. Also a new Runge-Kutta-Nyström method with interpolation properties is developed to integrate second-order differential ...

ABSTRACT To explore how nurse educators in bachelor's nursing programmes perceive the meaning of nursing theories in nursing education. Background Nursing is situated between a professional discipline and an academic discipline. Nurses' professional values significantly influence nursing practice, playing a key role in shaping their behaviour and ...

A note on a diagonally implicit Runge-Kutta-Nyström method [PDF]
It is shown that it is possible to obtain fourth-order accurate diagonally implicit Runge-Kutta-Nyström methods with only 2 stages. The scheme with the largest interval of periodicity, i.e. (0, 12), is given.

An analysis of two dimensional integral equations of the second kind
In this article, a numerical method is used to solve the two dimensionalFredholm integral equation of the second kind with weak singular kernel using the Toeplitz matrix and product Nystrom method.

Nyström methods and singular second-order differential equations
Chawla, Jain and Subramanian studied the application of Nyström methods to a class of singular initial value problems. Following their approach, we generalize this class by applying the Nyström method to the initial value problem for an equation of the ...

A symplectic explicit trigonometrically-fitted Runge-Kutta-Nyström method for the numerical solution of periodic problems [PDF]
In this paper, symplectic third-order three-stage explicit trigonometrically-fitted Runge-Kutta-Nyström (RKN) method for the numerical solution of second order initial value problems with periodic solutions is derived.

Nyström method with edge condition for electromagnetic scattering by 2D open structures
A Nyström method with edge condition (EC) is developed for electromagnetic scattering by two-dimensional (2D) open structures. Since EC correctly describes the edge behavior of currents on the scatterers, the use of it in Nyström method can dramatically ...
