The Nyström method for hybrid fuzzy differential equation IVPs

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, the Nyström method is developed to approximate the solutions for hybrid fuzzy differential equation initial value problems (IVPs) using the Seikkala derivative. A proof of convergence of this method is also discussed in detail.

A numerical method for solving a complete hypersingular integral equation of the second kind and its justification

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2023
A complete hypersingular integral equation of the second kind was obtained as a boundary integral equation for the diffraction and scattering problem of electromagnetic waves in space separated by the periodically placed non-perfectly conducting strips.

Containing Histories Past and Present: Making Samples in the “Huntington Collection” (1893–1921)

open access: yesAmerican Anthropologist, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Huntington Anatomical Collection (1893–1921) includes the skeletal remains of immigrants, migrants, and lifelong New York City residents. The collection's formation was coeval with the formalization of physical anthropology, and the collection was made to serve research aims centered on race and origin.

The Swedish National Pediatric Cataract Register (PECARE): Coexisting systemic disorders 2007–2023

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To analyse the frequency and type of coexisting systemic disorders in children operated on for cataract in Sweden. Methods Data were retrieved from the Swedish National Pediatric Cataract Register (PECARE) for children operated between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2023 (n = 975), including follow‐ups at age 1, 2, 5 and 10 ...

Analyse en composantes principales avec noyaux et la méthode Nyström

open access: yes, 2022
47 pages, 6 figuresThe Nyström method is one of the most popular techniques for improving the scalability of kernel methods. However, it has not yet been derived for kernel PCA in line with classical PCA.

A fifth order phase-fitted Runge-Kutta-Nyström method for periodic initial value problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A new Runge-Kutta-Nyström (RKN) method with phase-lag of order infinity for solving second order periodic initial value problems possessing oscillating solutions is derived in this paper. The derivation of phase-fitted four stage explicit RKN method with

The Use of Phase Lag and Amplification Error Derivatives for the Construction of a Modified Runge-Kutta-Nyström Method

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
A new modified Runge-Kutta-Nyström method of fourth algebraic order is developed. The new modified RKN method is based on the fitting of the coefficients, due to the nullification not only of the phase lag and of the amplification error, but also of ...

Embedded Exponentially-Fitted Explicit Runge-Kutta-Nyström Methods for Solving Periodic Problems

open access: yesComputation, 2020
In this work, a pair of embedded explicit exponentially-fitted Runge–Kutta–Nyström methods is formulated for solving special second-order ordinary differential equations (ODEs) with periodic solutions.

Tunability of Radiation Pattern of the H-Polarized Natural Waves of Dielectric Waveguide with Infinite Graphene Plane and Finite Number of Graphene Strips at THz

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
We investigate the radiation of the THz natural waves of the dielectric waveguide with graphene plane scattered by finite number of graphene strips. Our mathematically accurate analysis uses the singular integral equations method.
