Gold‐Dithiocarbamato Glycoconjugates as Potential Anticancer Agents: Design, Physico‐Chemical Characterization, and In Vitro Biological Activity

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 26, Issue 22, November 17, 2025.
Metal‐dithiocarbamato glycoconjugates based on gold(III), gold(I)‐phosphino, and gold(I)‐carbene scaffolds are here investigated as potential anticancer agents. Contrary to expectations, they induce cell death by acting at the extracellular level rather than targeting overexpressed glucose transporters.

S_3-flavour symmetry as realized in lepton flavour violating processes

open access: yes, 2007
A variety of lepton flavour violating effects related to the recent discovery of neutrino oscillations and mixings is here systematically discussed in terms of an S_3-flavour permutational symmetry. After a brief review of some relevant results on lepton

Human Capital Externalities and Growth [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes a methodology to estimate externalities in human capital as a response to the evidence of a worldwide divergent development. We estimate supply and demand for human capital in a five-year panel for 60 countries in the period 1980-2000,

On the Casimir interaction between holes

open access: yes, 2010
We study the leading long-distance attractive force between two holes in a plate arising from a scalar field with Dirichlet boundary conditions on the plate.

The Impact of Resources on Economic Growth through Macroeconomic Variables

open access: yesECONOMICS
Increases in resources rents are often accompanied by a decline in economic growth. This has happened in countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and is often referred to in the specialized literature as the “Paradox of Plenty” or the “Resource Curse”

Probing the CP-even Higgs Sector via $H_3\to H_2H_1$ in the Natural NMSSM

open access: yes, 2013
After the discovery of a Standard Model (SM) like Higgs boson, naturalness strongly favors the next to the Minimal Supersymmetric SM (NMSSM). In this letter, we point out that the most natural NMSSM predicts the following CP-even Higgs $H_i$ sector: (A) $

Impact of Inflation Targeting on External Debt: Evidence from Low-Income Countries

open access: yesFolia Oeconomica Stetinensia
This study explores the impact of inflation targeting on external debt in low-income countries, filling a gap in understanding its effects on debt management in these countries.

Operator mixing in deformed D1D5 CFT and the OPE on the cover

open access: yes, 2017
We consider the D1D5 CFT near the orbifold point and develop methods for computing the mixing of untwisted operators to first order by using the OPE on the covering surface.

Financial inclusion, remittances and household consumption in sub-Saharan Africa: Evidence from the application of an endogenous threshold dynamic panel model

open access: yesEconomics and Business Review
This paper examines the effect of financial inclusion on per capita household consumption expenditures in sub-Saharan Africa. It uses data from 28 countries over the period 2004–2022 and an endogenous threshold dynamic panel model for econometric ...

MAX 4 and MAX 5 CMB anisotropy measurement constraints on open and flat-Lambda CDM cosmogonies

open access: yes, 1997
We account for experimental and observational uncertainties in likelihood analyses of cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy data from the MAX 4 and MAX 5 experiments.
