Structural studies have been carried out on the putative O-specific polysaccharide of the reference strain (C.D.C. 3607-60) for Serratia marcescens O13. Circumstantial evidence that the O13 antigen is a microcapsular, acidic polymer, rather than an integral part of the lipopolysaccharide, has been obtained.

O13 Trimethylaminuria, diet and a ‘fish‐like’ odour
Oral Diseases, 2005Trimethylaminuria, also known colloquially as the fish malodour syndrome, is a metabolic disorder characterized by the presence of abnormal amounts of the dietary‐derived tertiary amine, trimethylamine, in the urine, sweat, expired air and other bodily secretions.

2005
The Iβ decay of O13 has been studied at the IGISOL facility of the Jyväskylä accelerator centre (Finland). By developing a low-energy isotope-separated beam of O13 and using a modern segmented charged-particle detector array an improved measurement of the delayed proton spectrum was possible.

A New Oxide Ion Conductor Family: Bi7(P1-yVy)O13
Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1993A new phase, Bi[sub 7]PO[sub 13], obtained at room temperature in the Bi[sub 2]O[sub 3]-BiPO[sub 4] system, has been identified as a superstructure of the [delta]Bi[sub 2]O[sub 3] fcc form. Its conductivity has been improved by a substitution of V for P, in solid solution Bi[sub 7](P[sub 1[minus]y]V[sub y])O[sub 13] with 0 [le] y [le] 0.5.

O13 Faculty drivers: meeting the learning needs of facilitators
Oral presentations, 2018Background There is an increasing drive towards considering the impact of simulation on faculty in addition to participants.1 F2 Acute Clinical Emergencies in Simulation (FACES) has proved consistently effective in meeting learning outcomes linked to the national curriculum of foundation year 2 (F2).

O13-1 An exploratory risk assessment for metalworking fluids (MWFS)
Oral Session 13 – Risk Assessment, 2016MWF mixtures vary across manufacturing process, facilities, enterprises and over time. The routes of exposure are dermal in liquid phase, and inhalation as dusts, mists and vapours. The challenge is to generalise from specific worker populations observed over many decades and from animal studies limited to few priority components.

O13. Genomic imprinting and small RNAs in mammalian germ cells
Differentiation, 2010Genomic imprinting is an epigenetic phenomenon that causes parent-of-origin specific monoallelic expression of a specific set of genes in mammals. Imprinting has crucial influences on embryonic growth, placental development, and animal behavior. It is known that monoallelic expression of the imprinted genes is regulated by differential DNA methylation ...
