Structure and relaxor behavior of BaBi4Ti4−Zr O15 ceramics

Abstract BaBi 4 Ti 4− x Zr x O 15 with x  = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.5, has been synthesized via modified solid state reaction route. X-ray diffraction studies confirmed the formation of single phase Zr 4+ substituted BaBi 4 Ti 4 O 15 up to x  = 0.2.

Thermal properties of K3Li2−x Nb5+x O15±δ crystals

The unit-cell parameters of the nonlinear crystal K3Li2−xNb5+xO15±δ were measured with x-ray diffraction in the temperature region 80–300 K. The room-temperature parameters of the crystal of this composition are a=12.599±0.001 and c=4.018±0.001 A.

A prior study documented the failure of dyslexic men to activate left temporoparietal cortex during phonologic processing. Because of reports of an anomalous right planum temporale in developmental dyslexia, the functional implications of which are unknown, this study examined the ability of dyslexics to activate right temporal cortex.
