PIEZOELECTRIC PROPERTIES OF Ba2 NaNb5 O15

Applied Physics Letters, 1969
Single-crystal Ba2NaNb5O15 (z plate) has been found to have a piezoelectric coupling factor in the thickness longitudinal mode kt equal to 0.57. As a value of kt determined by direct measurement, this result is the highest value yet reported for a single-crystal ferroelectric material usable at and above room temperature.

Large magnetic response in (Bi4Nd)Ti3(Fe0.5Co0.5)O15 ceramic at room-temperature

, 2011
Ceramics of Nd/Co co-substituted Bi5Ti3FeO15, i.e., (Bi4Nd)Ti3(Fe0.5Co0.5)O15 were prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction method. The X-ray diffraction pattern demonstrates that the sample of the layered perovskite phase was successfully ...

O15. Modelling of the Siemens Linac couch in the Monaco planning system

Physica Medica, 2016
Introduction Carbon fibre material is used for the Linac couch since it is light, strong and rigid. It is presumed to be radio-transparent for mega-voltage photons. Literature has indicated that the attenuation properties of carbon fibre couches may not be negligible, especially with intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) treatments where more beams ...

Thermal properties of K3Li2−x Nb5+x O15±δ crystals

Physics of the Solid State, 2003
The unit-cell parameters of the nonlinear crystal K3Li2−xNb5+xO15±δ were measured with x-ray diffraction in the temperature region 80–300 K. The room-temperature parameters of the crystal of this composition are a=12.599±0.001 and c=4.018±0.001 A.

The polarization of the neutrons from the N14(d, n0)O15 reaction

Nuclear Physics, 1965
Abstract The angular distribution of the polarization of the neutrons from the N14(d, n0)O15 reaction was investigated at deuteron bombarding energies of 1.65, 2.05, 2.50 and 2.90 MeV. The asymmetry of the neutrons scattered by helium was measured using a parallel-plate counter telescope.

Direct measurement of the F18(p,α)O15 reaction at nova temperatures

, 2011
The {sup 18}F(p,{alpha}){sup 15}O reaction rate is crucial for understanding the final abundance of {sup 18}F predicted by nova models. The {gamma}-ray emission in the first few hours after a nova outburst is expected to be dominated by 511 keV ...

Effects of Excess Bismuth on Structure and Properties of SrBi4 Ti4 O15 Ceramics

Journal of Rare Earths, 2007
Abstract SrBi 4 Ti 4 O 15 (SBTi) ferroelectric ceramics with excess bismuth (Bi) contents ranging from 0% to 25% were prepared by sol-gel method. Effects of excess Bi contents on the microstructure and electric properties were investigated. The SBTi ceramics sample with 10% of excess Bi showed a pure layered perovskite structure with enhancee ...

Optical fiber feeder for microcellular mobile communication systems (H-O15)

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1993
The authors investigate the feasibility of using an optical fiber feeder for microcellular mobile communication systems. The optical feeder enables compact and low-cost base stations, easy radio channel control, and flexible mobile communication systems.
