The Ep = 2.66 MeV resonance in O16(p, p)O16

The polysaccharide moiety of the O16 antigen (lipopolysaccharide) consists of D-glucopyranose, D-galactofuranose, L-rhamnopyranose, and 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-D-glucopyranose in the molar ratios 1:1:1:1. It is O-acetylated with one acetyl group per repeating unit.

The branching ratios of (decay to 6.08-Mev level)/(decay directly to ground state) are measured for several 1/sup -/ states and one 11 state in O/sup 16/, namely, the levels at 13.1, 17.13, andd 17.3 Mev, and the level at 16.22 Mev, respectively.
