Non-perturbative renormalization of moments of parton distribution functions

open access: yes, 2003
We compute non-perturbatively the evolution of the twist-2 operators corresponding to the average momentum of non-singlet quark densities. The calculation is based on a finite-size technique, using the Schr\"odinger Functional, in quenched QCD.

Five new INTEGRAL unidentified hard X-Ray sources uncovered by Chandra

open access: yes, 2010
The IBIS imager on board INTEGRAL, with a sensitivity better than a mCrab in deep observations and a point source location accuracy of the order of few arcminutes, has localized so far 723 hard X-ray sources in the 17--100 keV energy band, of which a ...

Generalized Parton Distributions from Lattice QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We perform a quenched lattice calculation of the first moment of twist-two generalized parton distribution functions of the proton, and assess the total quark (spin and orbital angular momentum) contribution to the spin of the proton.Comment: 11 pages, 4

Exploring the Energy Consumption and Carbon Emissions Nexus in Nigeria

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Vasile Goldis Arad, Seria Stiinte Economice
This study investigates the intricate nexus between energy consumption and environmental quality in Nigeria, a country that is highly vulnerable to climate change. Focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly goal 13 climate action,

The Dynamic Interplay Between the Renewable Kuznets Curve (RKC) and Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) Hypotheses: Fresh Evidence from the European Union Countries

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Vasile Goldis Arad, Seria Stiinte Economice
The paper explores the interplay between the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) (U-inverted shaped) and the Renewable Kuznets Curve (RKC) (U-shaped) in the European Union case; the validation of both hypotheses being investigated. The methodology consists
