O47. Dose-volume effects in acute reacting mouse jejunum

Physica Medica, 2016
Introduction Dose-volume effects imply that the tolerance of healthy organs increases when the irradiated volume decreases. These effects are important for uniform and non-uniform dose delivery in acute reacting organs like the intestinal tract, considering optimization constraints in human radiotherapy treatment planning.

The structure of the O-polysaccharide from the lipopolysaccharide of Providencia stuartii O47

Carbohydrate Research, 2004
The O-polysaccharide was obtained by mild acid degradation of the lipopolysaccharide of Providencia stuartii O47:H4, strain 3646/51. Studies by sugar and methylation analyses along with Smith degradation and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, including two-dimensional 1H,1H COSY, TOCSY, ROESY and H-detected 1H,13C HSQC and HMBC experiments, showed that the ...

O47 Risk factors associated with poor quality sputum submission in India

International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents, 2009
Method: 110 infertile women, after exclusion of male factor infertility, were evaluated for clinical and laboratory evidence of tuberculosis. Premenstrual endometrial biopsies from these women were subjected to examination of smears for presence of acid fast bacilli (AFB) and to culture for mycobacterium tuberculosis.

O47 An international consensus on a skills template for simulated patients

Oral presentations, 2017
An International Consensus on a Skills Template for Simulated Patients Dervla Ireland, Frank Coffey, Alison Whitfield, Stephen Timmons Background Simulated Patients (SPs) are widely used in healthcare education and assessment across the world. Despite this, the training of SPs and methods of ensuring quality assurance and standards are variable, with ...

O47-5 Association of metrics of peak exposure with beryllium sensitisation

Oral Session 47 – Exposure Modelling, 2016
Interday or intraday high-intensity exposures (i.e., exposure peaks) may be more relevant for initiating beryllium sensitisation (BeS); such exposures may exceed a threshold necessary to activate the immune response. This study evaluated the relationships of exposure metrics reflecting normal process variation and upset conditions with the prevalence ...

O47-2 Evaluation of peak exposure to extremely low-frequency magnetic fields during the semiconductor manufacturing process

Oral Session 47 – Exposure Modelling, 2016
We evaluated peak exposure to extremely low-frequency magnetic fields (ELF) during the semiconductor manufacturing process based on an analysis of the time exposure patterns of semiconductor workers. This evaluation was manifested by measuring the personal exposure of 117 workers involved in wafer fabrication and chip packaging operations in the ...
