Pd[B(S2O7)2]2 and Pd[B(SO4) (S2O7)]2: Two Borosulfates with Pd2+ in Octahedral and One with Pd2+ in Square Planar Oxygen Coordination

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 42, July 25, 2025.
Two polymorphs of Pd[B(S2O7)2]2 have been obtained as blue crystals, respectively. The [B(S2O7)2]− –anions coordinate the central Pd2+ cations via oxygen atoms in octahedral fashion. With Pd2+ as d8 high‐spin cations the bulk samples are paramagnetic. Furthermore, Pd[B(SO4)(S2O7)] has been obtained as side product in form of red crystals. The structure
