Structural studies on the O-polysaccharide of Escherichia coli O57

Carbohydrate Research, 2018
Mild acid hydrolysis of the lipopolysaccharide of Escherichia coli O57 afforded an O-polysaccharide, which was isolated by gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and studied by sugar analysis, Smith degradation and solvolysis with trifluoroacetic acid, along with 2D 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.

The structure of the O-polysaccharide from the lipopolysaccharide of Providencia stuartii O57 containing an amide of d-galacturonic acid with l-alanine

Carbohydrate Research, 2005
The O-polysaccharide (O-antigen) was obtained by mild acid degradation of the lipopolysaccharide of Providencia stuartii O57:H29. Studies by sugar and methylation analyses along with (1)H and (13)C NMR spectroscopy, including two-dimensional (1)H,(1)H COSY, TOCSY, ROESY, H-detected (1)H,(13)C HSQC, and HMBC experiments, showed that the polysaccharide ...

Facile synthesis of a pentasaccharide repeating unit corresponding to the common O-antigen of Salmonella enterica O57 and Escherichia coli O51

Tetrahedron: Asymmetry, 2013
Abstract A concise chemical synthetic strategy has been developed for the synthesis of a pentasaccharide present in the O -antigen of Salmonella enterica O57 and Escherichia coli O51 strains. A sequential glycosylation strategy has been adopted for the synthesis of the target pentasaccharide.

O-antigen structure and gene clusters of Escherichia coli O51 and Salmonella enterica O57; another instance of identical O-antigens in the two species

Carbohydrate Research, 2011
The O-polysaccharides were released by mild acid hydrolysis from the lipopolysaccharides of Escherichia coli O51 and Salmonella enterica O57 and found to possess the same structure, which was established by sugar analysis and 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy: [formula in text]. The O-antigen gene clusters of E. coli O51 and S. enterica O57 were sequenced and

O57 Navina smart transanal irrigation vs standard bowel care for neurogenic bowel dysfunction in multiple sclerosis: a multicentre international RCT

Oral Abstracts
This prospective, multicentre, randomised controlled superiority trial compared TAI using Navina Smart with SBC. Adults with MS and confirmed NBD were randomised 1:1. The primary endpoint was change in constipation and/or faecal incontinence severity using the Cleveland Clinic Constipation Score and Wexner score at 8 weeks.

Structural analysis of the core region of lipopolysaccharides from Proteus mirabilis serotypes O6, O48 and O57

European Journal of Biochemistry, 2000
The structure of lipid A core region of the lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from Proteus mirabilis serotypes O6, O57 and O48 was determined using NMR, MS and chemical analysis of the oligosaccharides, obtained by mild acid hydrolysis, alkaline deacylation, and deamination of LPS:Incomplete substitutions are indicated by bold italic type.
