The synthesis and crystal structure of a `Japanese rice‐ball'‐shaped Molybdenum Blue hybridized organically with 2‐picolinic acid is presented. In addition to single‐crystal X‐ray analysis, the title compound was characterized with IR spectroscopy and elemental analyses to reinforce its framework structure, thermogravimetric analysis to quantify the ...

Modelling opportunity cost effects in money demand due to openness
Abstract We apply a novel model‐based approach to constructing composite international financial indices (CIFIs) as measures of opportunity cost effects that arise due to openness in money demand models. These indices are tested on the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Taiwan Province of China (TPC), two economies which differ substantially in size ...

Quantum Density Functional Theory Studies on Additive Hydration of Tuftsin Tetrapeptide
Density functional B3LYP method has been used to study the molecular properties of the tuftsin tetrapeptide (threonine‐lysine‐proline‐arginine) and its retro form (arginine‐proline‐lysine‐threonine). The influence of single water molecule on the conformations and relative stabilities of solvated tuftsin complexes has been studied by placing the water ...

Comparative urban performance assessment of safe cities through data envelopment analysis
Abstract Sustainable urban development calls for a balanced package of conditions that induce a high quality of life (including safety and security) in cities. We argue that modern cities have to develop knowledge‐ based strategies for smart, safe and sound (3‐S) city development, supported by urban performance assessment (UPA) as a framework for ...

Design and Implementation of Novel LMI‐Based Iterative Learning Robust Nonlinear Controller
An iterative learning robust fault‐tolerant control algorithm is proposed for a class of uncertain discrete systems with repeated action with nonlinear and actuator faults. First, by defining an actuator fault coefficient matrix, we convert the iterative learning control system into an equivalent unknown nonlinear repetitive process model.
