Context-free Grammars for Permutations and Increasing Trees [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
In this paper, we introduce the notion of a grammatical labeling to describe a recursive process of generating combinatorial objects based on a context-free grammar. For example, by labeling the ascents and descents of a Stirling permutation, we obtain a grammar for the second-order Eulerian polynomials.

Agreement with conjoined arguments in Kuria

open access: yesStudies in African Linguistics, 2015
How languages solve the grammatical problem of agreeing with conjoined arguments is a well-known area of cross-linguistic variation. This paper describes these patterns for Kuria (Bantu, Kenya), documenting a pattern of agreement that has not been ...

Sistem Pemeriksa Pola Kalimat Bahasa Indonesia berbasis Algoritme Left-Corner Parsing dengan Stemming

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro dan Teknologi Informasi, 2019
In recent years, human computer interaction has been attracted many researchers and applied in various applications. In order to understand human language, the computer is required to learn human language grammar, one of the languages is Bahasa Indonesia.

Concurrent Lexicalized Dependency Parsing: The ParseTalk Model

open access: yes, 1994
A grammar model for concurrent, object-oriented natural language parsing is introduced. Complete lexical distribution of grammatical knowledge is achieved building upon the head-oriented notions of valency and dependency, while inheritance mechanisms are

3D Scene Grammar for Parsing RGB-D Pointclouds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We pose 3D scene-understanding as a problem of parsing in a grammar. A grammar helps us capture the compositional structure of real-word objects, e.g., a chair is composed of a seat, a back-rest and some legs. Having multiple rules for an object helps us capture structural variations in objects, e.g., a chair can optionally also have arm-rests. Finally,

Some examples of universal and generic partial orders [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We survey structures endowed with natural partial orderings and prove their universality. These partial orders include partial orders on sets of words, partial orders formed by geometric objects, grammars, polynomials and homomorphism order for various combinatorial objects.

The latent soul illusion in the causative object ( الْمَفْعول لَِجْلِه ) section the controllers in purposeful causative object coming as a treatment infinitive ( مَصْدَر عِلاجِيّ ) in Arabic

open access: yesJournal of Arts and Social Sciences, 2016
The current study debates some of the traditional granted issues among Arab grammar scholars in Al-ManSubat section ( باب†الْمَنْصوبات†) in general, and in the Causative Object ( الْمَفْعول†لَِجْلِه†) in particular. As such, the current study is based on

Grammar rules for the isiZulu complex verb [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
The isiZulu verb is known for its morphological complexity, which is a subject for on-going linguistics research, as well as for prospects of computational use, such as controlled natural language interfaces, machine translation, and spellcheckers. To this end, we seek to answer the question as to what the precise grammar rules for the isiZulu complex ...

SG-VAE: Scene Grammar Variational Autoencoder to generate new indoor scenes [PDF]

open access: yesECCV 2020, 2019
Deep generative models have been used in recent years to learn coherent latent representations in order to synthesize high-quality images. In this work, we propose a neural network to learn a generative model for sampling consistent indoor scene layouts.

Differential object marking and information structure: on the function of two different pronominal accusatives in Komi and Khanty dialects

open access: yesEesti ja Soome-ugri Keeleteaduse Ajakiri, 2012
The present contribution calls attention to a marginal but interesting phenomenon of variation in grammar, namely the employment of two different accusative markings for pronominal objects encountered (i) in dialect texts from the Komi varieties of Upper
