Applying inspection to object-oriented code

open access: yes, 1995
The benefits of the object-oriented paradigmare widely cited. At the same time, inspection is deemed to be the most cost-effective means of detecting defects in software products.

Orbital Geometry‐Governed Response of Pressure‐Tunable Quantum Defects in hBN

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Defects in hBN act as ultrasensitive quantum manometers when the energy of the intradefect optical transitions is modified by lattice compression. The orbital geometry of the electron wave functions governs how electron hopping and Coulomb interactions react uniquely to the reduction of the van der Waals gap and in‐plane compression, leading to robust ...

ADVANTAGES OF USING OBJECT-ORIENTED TECHNOLOGIES IN MODELING COSTS [PDF]

open access: yes
The project was created with the intention of helping the managers, whose objective is to optimize the use of resources so that they obtain the wanted profit. In the first paragraphs we presented the theoretical concepts that we had in order to make this

An object-oriented model of measurement systems

open access: yes, 1998
This paper presents a general object-oriented model for measurement systems. The limitations of the conventional function-oriented models are examined in the light of the generalized concept of measurement and its theoretical framework proposed ...

Digitizing the Filtration Interface: A Smart, Modular Janus Wood Platform for Self‐Reporting Oil/Water Remediation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work developed a smart Janus wood membrane integrating asymmetric wettability with built‐in electrical sensing for oil‐water separation. The membrane achieved > 99.5% separation efficiency and high flux by leveraging wood's natural anisotropic pore structure.

From object-oriented design towards object-oriented programming [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
The emergence of the object philosophy in the new software development techniques gave birth to many object models. The object-oriented approach enables the improvement of software quality, the reduction of future maintenance requirements, the reuse and the adaptation of specification and developments.

Janus Photonic Graphics by Stratified Assembly of Two Distinct Colloids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Double‐sided Janus photonic micropatterns with vivid structural colors are fabricated through a single‐step bottom‐up strategy. Density‐driven stratification and depletion‐mediated crystallization of PMMA and PS binary colloids lead to exclusive lattices on opposite surfaces under centrifugal force.
