Plate fixation using parallelogram prism iliac bone grafts for clavicle oblique nonunion with shortening deformity: a case report

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2023
Background Plate fixation using a tricortical iliac bone graft can provide a high ratio of bone union and restore clavicle length in cases of atrophic nonunion.

Penerapan Posisi Miring Kanan dan Miring Kiri (Ambulasi) terhadap Pencegahan Dekubitus pada Pasien Stroke Hemoragik

open access: yesScripta Score Scientific Medical Journal, 2023
Left and right oblique positions are ambulation that must be done in patients who have hemorrhagic strokes to prevent decubitus. Decubitus is a complication due to pressure on a squeezed area of the body resulting in pressure sores.

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Two-dimensional simulations of nonlinear beam-plasma interaction in isotropic and magnetized plasmas

open access: yes, 2012
Nonlinear interaction of a low density electron beam with a uniform plasma is studied using two-dimensional particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations. We focus on formation of coherent phase space structures in the case, when a wide two-dimensional wave ...

A PDE approach to large-time asymptotics for boundary-value problems for nonconvex Hamilton-Jacobi Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We investigate the large-time behavior of three types of initial-boundary value problems for Hamilton-Jacobi Equations with nonconvex Hamiltonians.

High‐Throughput Exfoliation of Optoelectronic‐Grade MoS2 via Turbulent‐Flow Wet Jet Milling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable wet jet milling exfoliation method is demonstrated for producing optoelectronic‐grade MoS2 nanosheets using environmentally friendly ethyl cellulose in ethanol dispersion media. Guided by fluid dynamics modeling, this approach is optimized to achieve record‐high exfoliation throughput and concentration.

Spontaneous expanding internal oblique hematoma induced by vigorous cough in an elderly patient under antiplatelet therapy: Case report and review of literature

open access: yesCHRISMED Journal of Health and Research, 2019
Oblique muscle hematomas are an uncommon cause of acute abdominal pain and are more common in elderly individuals, particularly in those under anticoagulant therapy. They are often misdiagnosed from other causes of abdominal pain.

Exotic polarizations of D2 branes and oblique vacua of (S)YM$_{2+1}$

open access: yes, 2000
We investigate the oblique vacua in the perturbed 2+1 dimensional gauge theory living on D2 branes. The string theory dual of these vacua is expected to correspond to polarizations of the D2 branes into NS5 branes with D4 brane charge.
