RBA: Reduced Bundle Adjustment for oblique aerial photogrammetry

open access: yesISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, 2016
Abstract This study proposes an efficient Bundle Adjustment (BA) model for oblique aerial photogrammetry to reduce the number of unknown parameters and the dimensions of a non-linear optimization problem. Instead of serving as independent exterior orientations, oblique camera poses are parameterized with nadir camera poses and constant relative poses

Improved Altitude Spatial Resection Algorithm for Oblique Photogrammetry

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2018
As a fundamental problem, spatial resection based on collinearity equations has been a subject of study since the beginning of photogrammetry. Owing to the nonlinearity of collinearity equations, the standard Newton–Raphson method requires approximate values for unknown parameters. Therefore, the method is inapplicable to modern oblique photogrammetry.

Oblique photogrammetry with visible and thermal images of active lava flows

Bulletin of Volcanology, 2006
Digital images from hand-held cameras are increasingly being acquired for scientific purposes, particularly where non-contact measurement is required. However, they frequently consist of oblique views with significant camera-to-object depth variations and occlusions that complicate quantitative analyses.

A Dynamic Tiles Loading and Scheduling Strategy for Massive Oblique Photogrammetry Models

2018 IEEE 3rd International Conference on Image, Vision and Computing (ICIVC), 2018
With the development of oblique photogrammetry technology and automatic 3D model reconstruction technique, massive urban 3D models can be quickly and efficiently generated. The demand is urgent for 3D display capability on a Web-based virtual Globe for massive oblique photogrammetry models.
