Deeply embayed escarpments may record a feedback between migrating wind gaps that bound reversed channels that drain into escarpment‐crossing waterfalls, and the retreat of these waterfalls, which carve the embayments. We identify the key morphological and morphometric signatures of this process and suggest it may operate globally across escarpments ...

The Deadman River watershed (British Columbia, Canada) was severely impacted by the Sparks Lake Fire in 2021. Timelapse photogrammetry reveals sharp post‐fire channel widening and increase in migration rate. Through multispectral remote‐sensing analysis, these morphodynamic changes are related to burn severity affecting the watershed.

Studying on Conversion of Oblique Photogrammetry Data Based on OSG and ARX
Abstract Oblique photogrammetry data processing is a hotspot of current urban 3D model application research. Aiming at the problem that oblique photogrammetry data can not be directly loaded and displayed on AutoCAD, based on OSG 3D rendering engine and ARX secondary development technology, take the OSGB data into the DWG file as an ...

Abstract Watershed sediment production is expected to increase in a warmer future with more extreme rain, with cascading effects throughout drainage and sediment‐transport networks. This study investigated landscape‐scale sediment movement in the eastern San Francisco Bay area, California, USA, during the extreme 2016–2017 wet season that brought major

The Application Research of Oblique Photogrammetry Technology in Road Planning
This paper takes the planning and application of Ann Nine Railway as the demand, and adopting the multi-angle data information of the roads acquired by the oblique photogrammetry technology of UAV to realize the model reconstruction based on the Context Capture software. Then outputting data in kinds of formats to analyze.

Decadal‐scale variability and predictors of large wood storage in meandering rivers across Europe
Across 65 meander bends in four European rivers, interannual large wood storage is controlled by river‐specific factors, while local channel geometry, riparian vegetation and flow metrics exert weak and largely stochastic influences. The lack of transferable predictors demonstrates that long‐term, site‐specific monitoring is essential for effective ...

Lithological Mapping from UAV Imagery Based on Lightweight Semantic Segmentation Methods
Traditional geological mapping is often time-consuming, labor-intensive, and restricted by rugged terrain. This study addresses these challenges by proposing a novel methodology for automated lithological identification in the Ququleke area of the ...

River Ice Analyses and Roughness Calculations Using Underwater Drones and Photogrammetric Approach
This study presents a methodology for determining hydraulic roughness (Manning's n) of fluvial ice using underwater drone and Structure from Motion (SfM) photogrammetry. The findings show that cost‐efficient equipment can be used to determine Manning's n for river ice, which supports modelling efforts, especially under intense warming in northern areas.

NADIR AND OBLIQUE UAV PHOTOGRAMMETRY TECHNIQUES FOR QUANTITATIVE ROCK FALL EVALUATION IN THE RIMROCKS OF SOUTH-CENTRAL MONTANA [PDF]
As our cities expand into geologically sensitive areas across the greater Rocky Mountain region and beyond, quantitative methods of assessment are increasingly critical for the development of evidence-based alternatives to avoid or mitigate geologic ...
