On the foundations of oblivious transfer [PDF]
We show that oblivious transfer can be based on a very general notion of asymmetric information difference. We investigate a Universal Oblivious Transfer, denoted UOT(X, Y), that gives Bob the freedom to access Alice's input X in an arbitrary way as long as he does not obtain full information about X.

Making Mining Licit: Gold, Commodification, and the Everyday Performance of Law in Colombia
ABSTRACT Ethnographies of resource‐making have shown that the extraction of resource value from objects is premised on obviating the emplaced lifeworlds that surrounded objects before they traveled to consumer markets. Much of this literature looks at such supply‐chain disentanglement from the viewpoint of corporate and formal regulatory practices ...

Performance of Practical Quantum Oblivious Key Distribution
Motivated by the applications of secure multi-party computation as a privacy-protecting data analysis tool, and identifying oblivious transfer as one of its main practical enablers, we propose a practical realization of randomized quantum oblivious ...

Establishing Shape Correspondences: A Survey
Abstract Shape correspondence between surfaces in 3D is a central problem in geometry processing, concerned with establishing meaningful relations between surfaces. While all correspondence problems share this goal, specific formulations can differ significantly: Downstream applications require certain properties that correspondences must satisfy ...
