SN 2023vbg: A Type IIn Supernova Resembling SN 2009ip, with a Long-duration Precursor and Early-time Bump
The Astrophysical JournalType IIn supernovae (SNe) resembling SN 2009ip (09ip-like SNe) originate from the interaction between circumstellar material (CSM) and the ejecta. This subclass not only shares similar observational properties around the maximum but is also commonly ...Sota Goto, Masayuki Yamanaka, Takahiro Nagayama, Keiichi Maeda, Miho Kawabata, D. K. Advanced Materials, EarlyView.Using Lorentz Transmission electron microscopy, it is shown that in the insulating van der Waals ferromagnet, CrBr3, a magnetic field can cause Bloch skyrmionic bubbles to spontaneously switch their chirality. As achiral type‐II bubbles are an intermediate state, the bubbles rapidly elongate and shrink when switching, thereby inducing a freezing of the John Fullerton, Yue Li, Harshvardhan Solanki, Sergey Grebenchuk, Magdalena Grzeszczyk, Zhaolong Chen, Makars Šiškins, Kostya S. Advanced Materials, EarlyView.Phase transitions are typically assumed to behave identically in forward and reverse. This work shows that in the ferroelectric material barium titanate this is not true: heating drives an abrupt, first‐order jump, while cooling gives a smooth, continuous change.Asaf Hershkovitz, Elangovan Hemaprabha, Rajesh Mandal, Pravin Kavle, Jamil Tanus, Maya Barzilay, Ching‐Che Lin, David Spirito, Semën Gorfman, Bo Wang, Ignacio J. The Astronomical JournalThe Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) completed its 5 month Survey Validation in 2021 May. Spectra of stellar and extragalactic targets from Survey Validation constitute the first major data sample from the DESI survey. This paper describes the DESI Collaboration, A. G. Adame, J. Advanced Materials, EarlyView. All‐perovskite tandem solar cells are evaluated under low‐intensity and low‐temperature (LILT) conditions relevant to space environments. Distinct loss regimes emerge, where weaker entropic mixing causes halide segragation below ≈240 K going along with a strong current imbalance, while poor electron transport in C60 dominates.Sercan Ozen, Etienne Beier, Francisco Peña‐Camargo, Jarla Thiesbrummel, Gianluca Boccarella, Paria Forozi Sowmeeh, Martin Stolterfoht, Dieter Neher, Kai Oliver Brinkmann, Thomas Riedl, Felix Lang +10 morewiley +1 more sourceSearching for Helium Escape and a Low-density Atmosphere Around the 120 Myr Old Sub-Neptune HIP94235b Using CRIRES+
