Observational signatures of a non-singular bouncing cosmology

open access: yes, 2011
We study a cosmological scenario in which inflation is preceded by a bounce. In this scenario, the primordial singularity, one of the major shortcomings of inflation, is replaced by a non-singular bounce, prior to which the universe undergoes a phase of ...

Parent body thermal metamorphism of enstatite chondrites: Disentangling the effects of shock melting

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Enstatite chondrites (ECs) formed on at least two parent bodies, EH and EL. After the accretion of the EC parent bodies, EC material was subjected to varying degrees of parent body thermal metamorphism (measured by petrologic types 3–6), due to heat released by radioactive isotope decay.

Gravitational baryogenesis in DGP brane cosmology

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
We consider the imbalance of matter and antimatter by using a gravitational baryogenesis mechanism in the background of Dvali–Gabadadze–Porrati (DGP) brane cosmology.

BBN and the Primordial Abundances

open access: yes, 2005
The relic abundances of the light elements synthesized during the first few minutes of the evolution of the Universe provide unique probes of cosmology and the building blocks for stellar and galactic chemical evolution, while also enabling constraints ...

Observational Constraints on Loop Quantum Cosmology

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2011
In the inflationary scenario of loop quantum cosmology in the presence of inverse-volume corrections, we give analytic formulas for the power spectra of scalar and tensor perturbations convenient to compare with observations. Since inverse-volume corrections can provide strong contributions to the running spectral indices, inclusion of terms higher ...

JAXA curation for Bennu samples returned by the NASA's OSIRIS‐REx mission

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, EarlyView.
Abstract NASA's OSIRIS‐REx mission successfully collected and returned ~121.6 g of bulk samples from the B‐type, near‐Earth asteroid (101955) Bennu to Earth in September 2023. Upon returning to Earth, the samples were transported to the NASA Johnson Space Center where most of the samples have been stored and processed.

Wstęp do bayesowskiej metodologii współczesnej kosmologii

open access: yesZagadnienia Filozoficzne w Nauce, 2009
The Bayesian framework is used in reconstruction of modern cosmology which actually concentrates on estimation of model parameters. The authors demonstrate that observational cosmology should be treated as an effective theory of the Universe. It realizes

Physics of Primordial Universe

open access: yes, 2003
The physical basis of the modern cosmological inflationary models with baryosynthesis and nonbaryonic dark matter and energy implies such predictions of particle theory, that, in turn, apply to cosmology for their test. It makes physics of early Universe
