Export fluxes in a naturally iron-fertilized area of the Southern Ocean – Part 1: Seasonal dynamics of particulate organic carbon export from a moored sediment trap [PDF]
A sediment trap moored in the naturally iron-fertilized Kerguelen Plateau in the Southern Ocean provided an annual record of particulate organic carbon and nitrogen fluxes at 289 m. At the trap deployment depth, current speeds were typically low (~ 10

Abstract The subtropical North Atlantic is a key region for ocean carbon cycling despite its relatively small spatial extent. Here we present a high‐resolution transect (23°–27°N; ∼2° longitude spacing) across the North Atlantic Subtropical Gyre, integrating physical, chemical, and microbial observations to examine how hydrography and nutrient ...

Polarisation and propagation of lion roars in the dusk side magnetosheath [PDF]
We present observations of "lion roars" obtained in the magnetosheath by the Spectrum Analyser (SA) of the Spatio-Temporal Analysis of Field Fluctuations (STAFF) experiment aboard Cluster.

The OMEGA/Mars Express Dust Storm Catalog
Abstract This paper describes the OMEGA Dust Storm Catalogue (ODSC), built over almost 4 Martian Years (end of MY 26 to mid MY 30d) from OMEGA/Mars Express hyperspectral observations. A storm detection method has been developed based on a pixel clustering algorithm applied to the OMEGA dust optical depth retrievals made at 0.9 μ ${\upmu }$m.

ABUNDANCES OF N - CAPTURE ELEMENTS IN STARS OF THIN AND THICK DISKS.
Abundances of neutron-capture (n- capture) elements in the stars belonging to thin and thick disks are obtained. The separation of thin and thick stars on kinematic criterion was made early. The spectra were obtained with the ELODIE spectrograph at the 1.

The Gaia satellite: a tool for Emission Line Stars and Hot Stars [PDF]
The Gaia satellite will be launched at the end of 2011. It will observe at least 1 billion stars, and among them several million emission line stars and hot stars. Gaia will provide parallaxes for each star and spectra for stars till V magnitude equal to
