[Behavioral approach to obsessions].

Obsessive-- Compulsives complaints have shown good and sometimes marked improvements, since behaviour therapists have established principles of treatment for those psychological problems, i.e.: exposure to evoked stimuli and response prevention of rituals or avoidance behaviours. Pharmacological and behavioral treatments may be associated with success.

Obsessive-Compulsive Behavior Associated with Dexamethasonae Treatment

A patient treated with dexamethasone for cerebral edema secondary to a cerebral tumor developed acute obsessive-compulsive behavior. Discontinuation of dexamethasone was accompanied by a rapid subsidence of this behavior, suggesting a causal association. This appears to be the first such report.
