Balloon dilatation of the Eustachian tube (BDET) is an option for treating chronic obstructive Eustachian tube dysfunction (COETD). In this prospective multicentric study, the main objective was to evaluate the results of BDET in unilateral COETD refractory to medical treatment.Adults with unilateral COETD whose Eustachian Tube Score (ETS) was less ...

Sleep and Breathing
It is well known that Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a complex disease characterized by an Upper Airway (UA) collapse during sleep, with potential consequences on ENT districts. Recent evidence suggests a possible association with Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (ETD).

Does Surgery for Nasal Obstruction Improve Eustachian Tube Dysfunction?
The Laryngoscope, 2022A review of current literature on the surgical management of nasal obstruction for eustacian tube dysfunction suggests potential benefit. However, due to the lack of prospective studies with control groups definitive benefit cannot be determined. Further studies are necessary to evaluate the role of nasal surgery in this patient population.
