Hæmangioma of the Occipital Bone
The British Journal of Radiology, 1933Haemangioma is a somewhat rare tumour of bone; out of 918 bone-tumours collected by Christensen only eleven, or 1·2 per cent, were of this nature. There is no tendency to malignant change and no risk of recurrence after complete removal.

Journal of Forensic Sciences, 1995Abstract The value of histological examination of the human occipital bone for estimation of age-at-death was assessed. Undecalcified sections of occipital bone from eighteen male Caucasian subjects between the ages of 21 and 70 years were prepared for analysis using polarized light microscopy.

Chondromyxoid fibroma of the occipital bone.
Canadian Association of Radiologists journal = Journal l'Association canadienne des radiologistes, 1994Chondromyxoid fibroma is an uncommon bone tumour, found predominantly in the metaphyses of the long bones of the lower limbs. The authors describe a patient in whom the tumour arose from the occipital bone. To the authors' knowledge, this is only the second report of chondromyxoid fibroma occurring in this location.
