Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1993
Patients afflicted with extreme degrees of mandibular micrognathia typically have vertically deficient rami as well as sagittally deficient mandibular bodies. This results in deficient posterior facial height, an obtuse gonial angle, excessively steep occlusal and mandibular planes, and a compensatory increase in anterior facial height.

Occlusal Plane Guide and Former
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1969Summary This technique has provided a positive and stable occlusal plane to the prepared modified occlusal rim. There is no dependency on mechanical devices for locking and stabilizing this plane. When the occlusion rim is removed, a three-dimensional registration is provided (Fig. 10).

Occlusal plane alteration in orthognathic surgery
Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 1993This article discusses correction of functional and esthetic deformities by surgically increasing or decreasing the occlusal plane angulation. Clockwise rotation, or increase of the occlusal plane angulation, is a well-accepted technique in orthognathic surgery.

Helicoidal plane of dental occlusion
American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 1982AbstractA helicoidal plane of postcanine occlusion has been patchily reported in many recent and fossil dentitions of man, and has been suggested as a taxonomic marker distinguishing between the dentitions ofHomoand Australopithecines. The present paper describes the helicoidal plane in 19 out of 23 modern human (probably Indian) worn dentitions, in ...

Orientation of the plane of occlusion
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1990A study was made of 28 dentulous Chinese Singaporean adults, using lateral skull radiographs. Various craniofacial reference lines and their relations to the maxillary occlusal line were analyzed. The orientation of the natural occlusal line in Chinese adults differed significantly from Swedish white adults.

Determining the occlusal plane with the Camper's plane indicator
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1992Camper's line has been used by many dentists as a reference in determining the plane of occlusion in edentulous patients. This article describes an instrument that provides the dentist with a clear and accurate assessment of the occlusal plane in relation to Camper's line.

The occlusal plane indicator: A new device for determining the inclination of the occlusal plane
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1998Accurate determination of the inclination of the occlusal plane is important in a number of situations, and includes confirming the correct development of the dentition in children, providing a basis for nonanatomic tooth design in the preparation of fixed prostheses, and assisting in decisions as to whether to perform intrusions or extrusions.

Determination of the occlusal plane using a custom-made occlusal plane analyzer: A clinical report
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2007In fixed prosthodontic procedures, when it has been determined that restoration of all or most of the posterior teeth is necessary, the use of the Broderick occlusal plane analyzer provides an easy and practical method to determine an occlusal plane that will fulfill esthetic and functional occlusion requirements.

Occlusal plane-Camper's plane relation
1992Orienting occlusion rims parallel with Camper's plane posteriorly is method often used in Dental schools. We wish to evaluate the relationship between these lines in a random sample of our population. In this investigation 70 standard cephalograms, were used. Each cephalogram was aligned on transparent foil and the following points were marked: spinale
