Dressed Minimal Surfaces in AdS$_4$ [PDF]

open access: yesJHEP 11 (2020) 128, 2020
We apply an arbitrary number of dressing transformations to a static minimal surface in AdS(4). Interestingly, a single dressing transformation, with the simplest dressing factor, interrelates the latter to solutions of the Euclidean non linear sigma model in dS(3).

Effects of various straw incorporation strategies on soil phosphorus fractions and transformations

open access: yesGCB Bioenergy, Volume 15, Issue 1, Page 88-98, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Returning straw to the field is an effective method for optimizing the soil phosphorus (P) availability, in which bacteria play an important role. However, the effects of various straw incorporation strategies on P transformation between different soil P pools remain unclear.

Open-label randomized controlled trial to compare wound dressings for patients undergoing hip and knee arthroplasty: study protocol for a randomized controlled trial

open access: yesTrials, 2018
Background Surgical wounds are covered to prevent bleeding, absorb the exudates, and provide a barrier against external contamination. Currently, in our hospital, after orthopedic surgery, traditional occlusive dressing of sterile gauze and non-woven ...

Preparation and characterization of a novel antimicrobial film dressing for wound healing application

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2021
Antibacterial activity and good mechanical properties are some of the characteristics required for an appropriate film dressing. A novel polymer blend was developed for wound healing application. Twenty-four formulations using the polymers chitosan, poly(

Segmentation-Reconstruction-Guided Facial Image De-occlusion [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Occlusions are very common in face images in the wild, leading to the degraded performance of face-related tasks. Although much effort has been devoted to removing occlusions from face images, the varying shapes and textures of occlusions still challenge the robustness of current methods.

Catheter Injectable Multifunctional Biomaterial for the Treatment of Infected Enterocutaneous Fistulas

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multi‐functional shear‐thinning hydrogel is engineered to treat enterocutaneous fistulas. This hydrogel can resist external pressures allowing it to remain within the fistula tract and is shown to have significant antimicrobial, pro‐healing, and anti‐inflammatory properties, which were validated in in vitro and in vivo experiments.

Occlusion Robust 3D Human Pose Estimation with StridedPoseGraphFormer and Data Augmentation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Occlusion is an omnipresent challenge in 3D human pose estimation (HPE). In spite of the large amount of research dedicated to 3D HPE, only a limited number of studies address the problem of occlusion explicitly. To fill this gap, we propose to combine exploitation of spatio-temporal features with synthetic occlusion augmentation during training to ...

“You're this person who's providing light”: Embodied responses to information loss and transition within LGBTQIA+ communities

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper reports on findings from 15 semi‐structured interviews with LGBTQIA+ individuals within the United States who have experienced the loss of one or more LGBTQIA+ information spaces. The paper specifically focuses on how such losses occurred and the information transitions experienced by the participants in response to this loss ...
