Burrow use by Saharan striped polecat (Poecilictis libyca) in an agricultural area of central Tunisia

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.
Saharan striped polecats in agricultural landscapes use many burrows (30–35 per season), facilitated by sandy soils. Burrow sharing is rare and mainly occurs between males and females during mating. Habitat use shifts seasonally, reflecting disturbance and soil conditions. Maintaining stable sandy habitats may be critical for persistence.

From Planar to 3D Nanophotonic Lenses: Advancing Design, Fabrication, and Applications

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Three‐dimensional nanophotonic lenses are enabled by an integrated workflow that links design parameterization, full‐wave electromagnetic simulation, computational optimization, and freeform fabrication. This Review summarizes how these tools expand optical design freedom beyond a single patterned plane by enriching the local meta‐atom response and ...

Recent Advances in Cryogel Applications for Musculoskeleatal Regeneration

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogels have been widely used in tissue engineering due to their high‐water content and biocompatibility, yet their densely cross‐linked microstructure inherently limits cell infiltration, mass transport, and mechanical support. Cryogels, formed through partial freezing and crosslinking under subzero conditions, provide unique 3D macroporous

Analytical Methodology to Determine Thermally Induced Soil Deformation From Laboratory Data

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Experimental laboratory investigations underlie most of the knowledge about the mechanics of soils under non‐isothermal conditions and their thermally induced deformation. Despite advances, the understanding of thermally induced deformation of soils remains inconsistent, hindering the development of a coherent framework that can advance ...
